MALTA OPEN: 12 – 13 MARCH 2027
NATIONAL BASKETBALL ARENA, TA’ QALI, MALTA
EXPERIENCE BEYOND THE MALTA OPEN
Where people Unite.
Some championships focus only on results – the Malta Open focuses on the experience.
In 2027, we celebrate 25 years of the MO, a journey that began in 2003 with 82 competitors from 6 countries. A quarter of a century later, the event has grown through constant improvement, dedication and the belief that people should want to return year after year.
The MO 2027 will once again welcome athletes, coaches, officials, families and supporters from around the world to Malta for two days of competition, friendship and unforgettable moments.
Held on 12 – 13 March 2027 at the National Basketball Arena, in Ta’ Qali, the event will be run by the WKA Tech Squad, ensuring professional organisation, reliable technology, fair officiating and high standards that define the MO.
We believe in quality over quantity. For this special 25th Anniversary edition, we expect teams from many countries to join us. The MO has never been about chasing numbers. Participant capacity will be carefully managed so athletes receive the competition experience they deserve, officials can perform at their best, and the event maintains the high organisational level that has become part of the MO identity.
Behind every athlete is a hard-working coach, a family, a team and a story. Behind every competition are dedicated officials, competent referees and judges, volunteers and a skilled organiser who makes it possible. We value every one of them. From the moment you arrive in Malta until the moment you leave, we want you to feel welcomed, respected and appreciated.
Every registered participant and official will receive a special 25th MO token – a small reminder of being part of this milestone edition.
Years from now, we want you to look at it and remember – “I was there”.
Malta – More than a Destination
Why Malta? Because MO is more than two days inside the sports arena.
It is a chance to explore a Mediterranean island filled with history, culture, clear waters, sunshine, great food and warm hospitality.
Come for the competitions. Explore the island – meet new people – share experiences – build friendships – enjoy the Mediterranean. Leave with memories that go far beyond the final score.
